Traditional vs. Modern Day LED Outdoor Lights

stadium flood light

The demand for LED stadium lights is flourishing nowadays. The highest brightness and longer lifespan make them an efficient choice for the outdoors. Moreover, the light fixtures are large and broad-beamed to deliver high-intensity illumination to the given space.

Energy-efficient LED flood lights are generally chosen for large sports fields and playing fields where the brightness is relatively low. In addition, they come with outstanding durability and can work for longer hours. You can also add dimmable sensors to increase the efficiency of the LED flood lights. These lights are corrosion resistant and can work efficiently in any weather conditions.

Traditional vs. contemporary

First of all, the lifespan of LED flood lights is much higher than the traditional halogen bulbs.

Secondly, the LED flood lights are equipped with proper heat sinks to dissipate the heat quickly and keep the fixture temperature lower.

Traditional light fixtures use mercury vapor for illumination, which can harm public health. The LED mechanism is quite simple and does not require harmful gases for illumination purposes.

Traditional light fixtures do get heated up faster than LED flood lights. However, The LED mechanism keeps the temperature at a controlled rate, and the lights can operate for longer hours.

The LED fixtures come with beneficial features such as they are more robust and can work in any kind of weather conditions and temperatures as the IP (Ingress Protection) ratings are pretty high.

Reduction of energy consumption

The primary factor is saving energy on power consumption and bringing down the annual budget; people choose LED outdoor light fixtures over conventional ones.

The LED lights consume less energy than their traditional counterparts, like the halogen bulbs. In addition, LED lights to offer a wider beam angle and are safe for more extended usage with time.

Some automatic gadgets come with LED flood lights. In addition, energy-saving dimmer sensors are easier to enable and easier to control the brightness requirements of the fixture.

LED Tubes: Advantages of LED T8 Light Solutions

Since the launch of LED technology,  The new generation of T8 LED tubes delivers optimum brightness at low power consumption. These tubes are divided into three types. Type A: Ballast Compatible Type B: Not compatible with the ballast  Type A + B: Can work with or without the help of ballast The ballast section controls energy distribution to ensure that the required voltage, current, and waveform are present when a traditional light source like the fluorescent tubes or HID lamps is turned on and operated.  T8 LED bulbs do not require this additional electricity consumption; therefore, eliminating the ballast saves you energy right away because you aren't wasting energy to ballast draw. Each modified fixture uses a few watts less without a ballast. T8 retrofits assist the older fixtures by using the ballast feature to control power consumption and distribute uniform brightness. Usually, the use of ballast has lowered down, giving way to new generation T8 LED tubes. ...
