Which is Best: Warm White or Cool White?


LED lights are chosen due to their operational abilities when it comes to illuminating your interiors and exteriors. In addition, LED lamps have allowed a lot of flexibility in design and increased brightness efficiency. However, choosing a proper color temperature can become a daunting task.  


Which type of lighting to choose?


Sometimes it’s hard to decide which color temperature is right for your interiors. For example, LED panel lights’ color temperature ranges from 4000K to 6500K. The color temperature of lights is measured by the unit (K) Kelvin. LED panels are generally used inside office spaces and deliver a uniform glow to the given room. 


There are three types of white color temperature available - Warm white, natural white, and cool white.

Warm white is generally yellowish and resembles traditional halogen lights. Generally light companies use the terminology warm white or cool white to define the color temperature of the light. Lower is the Kelvin temperature, the light appears more yellowish and if the Kelvin temperature is higher than the lights appear white.



Cool white has the shade of blue and resembles like neon. The perception of lighting depends on the personal taste.



Warm white is a suitable option for living room, dining room, bedroom where soft lighting is required. The illumination is more relaxing and soothing to the eyes.


Cool white lighting is good for kitchen space, garage, workshop, hair salon, business establishments, etc. For traditional and rustic kitchen decor, the best recommended light is warm white. They are best for living areas.


Cool white is good for practical applications. Cool white is also recommended for residential indoors with modern decor and design. They work better with bold wall colors.
